   MAY 20, 2009
  JSC Kherson shipyard has purchased a new shipyard multi-wheel elevating transporter  

  According to the programme of modernization JSC Kherson shipyard has purchased a new shipyard multi-wheeled elevating transporter made by known German company KAMAG. Its maximum lifting capacity is 214 tons.
  The price of the transporter is EUR 900 000.
  Length - 15m, width – 6m, height in the lowest position – 1,5m.
  The modern driver’s cabin is equipped to be comfortable and convenient to work.
  The transporter is easy to operate and has high functional performance, can endure heavy loads and shall be used for transportation of large sections and units from the hull assembly shop to the slipway.

  The yard’s production volume for 4 months of 2009 is 58 % more in comparison with the same period of last year and made 157,6 mln USD.

   The average wages in April was 2342 UAH, average wages of production workers – 3130 UAH.

   Kherson Shipyard has handed over the first vessel of a new series – Anchor Handling Supply Vessel, to the Customer

  On March 25, 2009, a ceremony on handing over the first vessel of a series of four Anchor Handling Supply Vessels, built at the company, to the Customer – Norwegian Kleven Prosjekt VI A.S. - took place at Kherson Shipyard.

  She is designed to carry out operations with anchors, towage and supply of Drilling Platforms.

  The name of the vessel is m/v Siem Sapphire. Its length is 91.0m, width is 22.0m, depth is 9.6m.

  The vessel has been built as per Project VS 491 CD, elaborated by VIK-SANDVIK Design Company (Norway). Earlier Kherson Shipyard already built two Anchor Handling Supply Vessels in 2007 and 2008 as per other projects. It is, nevertheless, the first vessel built according to this project.

   Oksana V. Barnash, a granddaughter of a legendary Director of Kherson Shipyard V.F. Zabotin, became “The God Mother” of m/v Siem Sapphire, having struck a bottle of champagne against the Hull and wished the vessel happy sailing.

   Kherson Shipyard has built two new vessels

  On March 3, 2009 JSC Kherson Shipyard handed over a new Railway Ferry FERUZ to the Customer (Project CNF03, designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau, Odessa). It is the second vessel of such type, built by the company for the Reserved Capital Enterprises Corp.

  The vessel’s length - 150.32m, the width – 22.0m, the depth – 7.15m, the draft – 3.8m, deadweight – about 6500 t. The Ferry is designed to carry wheeled vehicles, railway trains and tanks.

  The first vessel of the series – a Railway Ferry SMAT , the construction of which Kherson Shipyard completed in September 2006, plied the Caucasus-Poti Line in 2007.

  Earlier, on March 2 Kherson Shipyard launched a multi-purpose Dry-Cargo Vessel

  ST. NICOLAS, Project RSD 20 (the Project is also elaborated by the Odessa Marine Engineering Bureau. The Dry-Cargo Vessel, designed to carry general and bulk cargoes, metal, grain, timber,
 
  Coal, big-size and heavy cargoes, containers was put alongside the Shipyard quay, where the outfitting works will be accomplished.

  The vessel’s length - 139.082m, the width – 16.475m, the depth – 6.215m.

  The Shipyard’s Book of Orders has been completed till the beginning of 2010.

  In 2008 the output of Kherson Shipyard totaled to UAH 348.2 million, which is by 51.7 % more than that of 2007. The payroll fund in 2008 increased by 27.6 % and made UAH 87.2 million. The Shipyard’s average salary in January 2009 was UAH 2397, the production worker’s – UAH 3295. Besides, the company in 2008 paid to the budgets of all levels UAH 54.3 million of taxes and fees, which is by 36.1 % more than in 2007.

   DECEMBER 2008
   On December 12, 2008 Kherson Shipyard witnessed the ceremony of launching the third vessel of TIOLI type River Tanker-Chemical Carrier series for Veka Shipbuilding B.V.
  Length – 110.0 m, Width – 11.45 m, Breadth – 4.65 m

  The vessel, designed for transportation of chemical products, will navigate the rivers of Europe.

  Five more vessels of such type are under construction at the Shipyard for Veka Shipbuilding B.V., to be delivered to the Customer in 2009.

  The construction of four Anchor-Handling Vessels for Kleven Prosject AS (Norway) is in progress.

  A 6135 dwt. Multi-Purpose Dry-Cargo Vessel Chelsy-1 of Project RSD 11 has been handed over to CONCORD SHIPPING Corp. A Dry-Cargo Vessel Kaya Pioneer, Project DCV16, is getting ready to be handed over for the same company.

  The Sea Trials of a Railway Ferry FERUZ have been completed, the second vessel of the type, built at the shipyard for Reserved Capital Enterprises Corp.

  The Shipyard continues to work steadily. The Shipyard’s output volume for 11 months made UAH 311.0 mln., which is 51.5 % more in comparison with the similar last year period.

  The average salary of production workers in November was UAH 3654..
   

   NOVEMBER 2008
   On November 12, 2008 Kherson Shipyard held a ceremony on launching the second Vessel of TIOLI type River Tanker-Chemical Carrier series for Veka Shipbuilding B.V..
   Length - 110.0 m, Width - 11.45 m, Depth -  4.65 m
   The Vessel is designed to carry chemical products and shall operate on the rivers of Europe.

    At the Shipyard for VEKA Shipbuilding B.V. six more vessels of such type are under construction.
    The talks are being held on further cooperation.

    Four Anchor Handling Vessels are under construction for a Norwegian Kleven Verft AS Company. The contract for the construction of the fifth similar type vessel has been signed.

   The Company’s scope of output for ten months of the a.c. made UAH 282.4 M., which is by 52.2 % more in comparison with the same period of last year.
   The average salary of production workers in October was UAH 3856.
   

   OCTOBER 2008
   October 25 witnessed an Open Door Day at the Shipyard. The veterans, the Shipyard workers with families, the Kherson schoolchildren, the Shipbuilding lycee students, the students have visited the Company.
   The winners of competition for the best production division, team, skilled worker have been awarded with Deeds and Prizes.
   Seven young workers, which have arrived at the Shipyard only two-three months ago, but have already proved out to be good in the production, have been awarded higher categories ahead of time. They have been presented Hononary Deeds and mobile phones.
   The sightseeing about the Shipyard’s shops has been arranged for all those who wished.

   The Book of Orders of Kherson shipyard is formed up to the year 2010.
   To accomplish the outlined program the Shipyard might additionally need 1800 production workers: Metal Hull assemblers, electric welders, gas-cutters, pipe-benders, metal benders, marine outfitters.
   From October a.c. the salary of Hull Shop workers have increased by 25 %.
   

   OCTOBER 2008
   On October 6, 2008, a ceremonial launching of the second hull in the series of four river tankers, project CT207,  took place at JSC Kherson Shipyard for Zanen Shipbuilding B.V., the Netherlands.
   The vessel has been designed for European rivers carriage of chemical products .
    - Length - 125 m
    - Beam  - 11,4 m
    - Depth  - 5,25m

   At present 4 anchor handling vessels for the Norwegian company Kleven Prosject AS are under construction at JSC Kherson Shipyard . Readiness of the first vessel is 75%. 7 river chemical tankers of TIOLI Project are being built for the Dutch company VEKA Shipbuilding B.V.

   The scope of manufactured product during 9 months of the current year increased by 54,5% in comparison with the same period of the last year and reached 241,7 mln UAH.
   The production workers average wages in September 2008 made 3 525 UAH.
   

   SEPTEMBER 2008
   On September 9, 2008 Kherson Shipyard celebrated an event of handing over the first TIOLI type River Tanker of the series to the Customer Veka Shipbuilding B.V. Company.
   The Length – 110.0 m, the Width – 11.45 m, the Depth – 4.65 m.
   The vessel, designed to carry chemical products, shall operate the inland waters of Europe.
   Five (5) vessels of this type are under construction at the Shipyard for Veka Shipbuilding B.V.
   For another Dutch Company, Zanen Shipbuilding B.V., a series of CT 207 Project River Tankers are under construction.
   The construction of four (4) Anchor Handling Vessels is under way for the Norwegian Company Kleven Prosjekt AS.
   The Shipyard’s production output for eight (8) months made UAH 208.5 million, which is 49.6 per cent more in comparison with the similar period of the last year.
   The average salary of production workers in August a.c. made UAH 3358.

   JULY 2008
   On July 29, 2008, launching of the first hull in the series of four river tankers took place at JSC Kherson Shipyard for Zanen Shipbuilding B.V., the Netherlands.
   The vessel constructed under Project CT 207 has been designed for carriage of chemical products.
   Length - 125 m
   Beam  - 11,4 m
   Depth  - 5,25m
   Totally 5 hulls are under construction for Zanen Shipbuilding B.V., three of them at the Yard named after 61 Communards in Nikolaev . A series of tankers also shall be built for the Dutch company VEKA Shipbuilding B.V.  Construction of Anchor Handling Vessels for the Norwegian company Kleven Maritime AS is in full swing.
   The scope of manufactured product during the first 6 months of the current year is 154,1 mln UAH, which is 38,9% more in comparison with the same period of the last year.
   The production workers average wages in June 2008 made 3000 UAH.

   APRIL 2008
   On April 25 a.c. a ceremony of delivery of “ARIES WARRIOR” Supply-Vessel to a Norwegian Customer KLEVEN MARITIME took place at Kherson Shipyard.
   The vessel, built as per Project VS 470 MK II, designed to service offshore Drilling Platforms, can provide the Drilling Platforms with potable water, cement, fuel oil.
   The length – 73.4 m,
   The width - 16.6 m,
   The Depth – 7.6 m
   By the order of Dutch Companies VEKA SHIPBUILDING B.V. and ZANEN SHIPBUILDING B.V. 10 (ten) River Tankers-Chemical Carriers of TIOLI Project and CT 207 Tanker-Chemical Carrier are under construction.
   The scope of production of the Company for the first quarter a.c. totaled to UAH 76.1 million, which is
44.6 % more in comparison with the similar last year period.
   The production workers average salary in March made UAH 3102.
 

   FEBRUARY 2008
   On the 22 of February 2008 a ceremonial christening of container vessel VISEU took place at JSC Kherson Shipyard. The vessel was built by our yard and state- owned yard named after 61 Communards in Nikolayev for Spanish company Factoria Naval de Marin and Portuguese company Naveiro Marнtimos LDA. The Hull has been assembled on the slipways of JSC Kherson shipyard, which is sub-contractor of this orde.
   The ship’s length is 89,5 m, beam – 13,7 m, depth – 8 m.
   The production output in January 2008 made 24,3 mln UAH – 52,7% more compared with the same period of the last year, average yard’s pay increased by 33,8% and made 2142 UAH, production workers average wage increased by 49,4% and is 2979 UAH .

   JANUARY 2008
   On January 22, a.c., a keel-laying ceremony of the first vessel of the series for the Holland VEKA Shipbuilding Service B.V. took place at Kherson Shipyard.
   A TIOLI type river tanker is designed to transport chemical products.
   - Length - 110 m
   - Width - 11.5 m
   - Depth -  4.7 m
   The principal activities’ factors of Kherson Shipyard for 2007 are as follows:
   - the scope of production output made UAH 229.9 mln., which is by 25.5 % more in comparison with the year 2006;
   - labour remuneration fund increased by 15.9 % and made - UAH 68.339.000
   The average Shipyard’s salary in December totaled to UAH 2079; for the production workers – UAH 2821; for the high skilled workers of basic professions – UAH 4668.
